Good maintenance will prolong the lifespan of your synthetic sports turf, but once it has reached the end of its useful life, the worn surface will need to be removed and replaced. Life expectancy of the surface averages 8-10 years, however, the duration depends on the accuracy of the initial installation, the quality of the synthetic turf and its maintenance as well as player usage.
Management of «end-of-life» synthetic turf presents an important challenge for our industry. Currently, the majority of discarded field materials go to municipal landfills. Using innovative and environmentally responsible ways to process these materials is a step in the right direction.
Synthetic turf, drainage and shock pad underlayment as well as TPE infill can be recycled or repurposed.
We are fully equipped to remove, recycle and/or repurpose turf, infill and shock pad underlayment :
Solutions for reuse include lower-grade soccer/football fields, training pitches, golf driving ranges, baseball, batting cages, landscape installations and pet parks. Extracted materials can be recycled and used as components in the manufacturing of synthetic lumber and injection-molded products.
