Carpell wins prestigious ASBA 2016 Awards

American Sports Builders Association Jacksonville, Florida
Carpell is extremely proud to have been awarded Outstanding Outdoor Track Facility of the Year by the American Sports Builders Association for Gerard-Filion Secondary School, Longueuil, Quebec. Specific facilities were chosen from among all winning entries to represent the best of athletic facility construction. Completed 2015, Carpell achieved the first International Association of Athletics Federations IAAF Class-1 certification in North America for a Stobitan SW Sandwich System running track.

Carpell also received two awards in the Distinguished Sports Facilities category: Gerard-Filion Secondary School, Longueuil and York Lions Stadium, Toronto

ASBA regroupes builders and suppliers of materials for athletic facilities and presents awards each year to facilities built by members, that best exemplify construction excellence.

The first IAAF Class-1 certified Stobitan track in Canada

Carpell is extremely proud to have achieved the first IAAF Class-1 certification in Canada for a Stobitan SW Sandwich System running track. Carpell installed the track late 2015 at École Gérard-Filion in Longueuil, Qc.

Following rigorous IAAF testing the track was certified Class-1, the highest level awarded by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). Stobitan SW is supplied by Stockmeier Urethanes, a leading manufacturer of high quality, eco-friendly polyurethane products.

Carpell wins a major contract with the city of Vancouver

This contract comprises high-performance, synthetic sports fields at two of Vancouver's city parks. A state-of-the-art surface for field hockey at Oak Meadows Park to be certified FIH GLOBAL, the highest level of international certification for this sport.
Also, a multisport field at Kerrisdale Park with the DX60 Act Global turf system, a Schmitz Proplay underlayer and a first for Vancouver, a recyclable infill Ecofill. The project will be completed September 2016.
